I started a log on www.fitday.com. This is helping me keep track of my daily food, activity,... It's helpful because I didn't realize I consumed more carbs than protein! I guess it's from eating more vegetables and fruit.
I am determined to make this work.
The change is starting!!
Ok - not looking at the scale for a while. Did check my measurements. Lost 1/2" in waist, 1/4" in hips! Wahoo! More energy and doing the workouts are not such a fight. Don't get me wrong, still don't look forward to the hard work but just don't dread it so much.
Going on vacation in November and didn't want to wait until the last minute. Plus I noticed that I am sooooo out of shape,...if you can even call it a "shape". So as I push on, I hope to some day be brave enough to post a picture!

Starting week 3
Last week was TOUGH! Friday was a BEAST! I did a bad thing! First, weighed myself (gained almost 3 pounds!!!), then decided I needed my "day off", then had pizza! After all that, I lose the 3 pounds the next day.
OK, so I know that's not how it's suppose to work! But went back to exercising Saturday. Still struggling through the pushups. Able to do more reps but still can't complete all. Ab workout is really killer!
Will not be traveling this week so should get in a full week of workouts.
I can see more definition in my arms - which has always been my weakest spot. My legs are getting a good workout. Starting to get better form.

Gained!
OK, I'm going to vent!!
I gained 2 1/2 pounds! I'm getting frustrated! Not seeing a lot of change in my body yet and seeing weight gain on the scale does not help!
Feeling kinda crappy. Been doing my P90 routines daily and REALLY working. Eating right and not snacking.
Just put on a pair of jeans that feel really TIGHT. Not liking this much!
Just a down day. I will need to NOT get on the scale for a while.
The only thing I've noticed is my energy is up. Instead of eating, I feel like running so maybe I'll just get tired and go to sleep...and forget about today.

Workouts continue - Day 10
Today is day 10 of the Power 90 workouts. Keeping consistent with my workouts. Still tough to start the workouts but getting better. For me, I need the "daily" motivation to keep the program going. I've tried the workouts where they say "only 10 minutes a day!". That might work for someone who doesn't need the workout but I need to feel the workout in order for it to make a difference.
It's been tough especially when you are not seeing physical results like weight lose. I did notice my arms are starting to develop some, my back feels stronger, stand up straighter, feel more energy. All good things!
I have'nt added any new workouts yet (week 2 you can add additional routines). I still feel like I am getting used to the standard workouts. So one more week of regulare daily workouts before trying to add.
I do need to be careful of my knees. Noticed they are quite stiff and a bit sore. Will start taking supplements to hopefully assist in healing the aches!
Happy to have found a support team online who have also started Power 90.

1st week of "working out"
Started my workout Feb 22nd with a group of people I found on the BeachBody website. My target has been to lose weight,...as it has been for the past 10 years! My approach is different this time. I'm looking at this as a part of my daily regimen. I'm using the Power 90 videos by Tony Horton
This first week was a KILLER. After 2 days, I needed a break. I took some pictures and reality hit home, just seeing how my shape has changed with all the weight. I'm looking at losing 22 pounds so it should be a really big deal. The big deal is getting in shape. Although weight lose is a goal, I want my health to be improved, stronger.
Starting: I could not even do 1 complete pushup (with knees on ground). I ached all over after the workouts. I was drenched in sweat. After 1 week, I can do 7 pushup (with knees on ground), 6 of the 10 ab workouts and better at keeping up with the video. Still sweating like I just took a shower! My energy level is up and my mood is improved. Yeah! I was traveling this week, so did the workouts in my room. Did miss one day but started up again.
